Brahms, Barber, and Biegel

Friday, September 30th kicks off Season 73 with the first of our Masterworks Series: Brahms, Barber, and Biegel. Buckle in and prepare to blast off with FSO on a journey through outer space! As a special tie-in to the Flagstaff Festival of Science, we are proud to present Daniel Perttu’s “A Planets Odyssey.”
In this piano concerto, guest artist Jeffrey Biegel will take you on a voyage through our solar system that explores the unique properties and characteristics of each planet. You’ll also experience the vibrant intensity of Samuel Barber’s Second Essay for Orchestra and the romantic fire and energy of Brahms’s Fourth Symphony in this season’s opening concert.
