2026-2027 Auditions

We will be auditioning for the violin section, viola section, cello section, bass section, french horn section, oboe sub list, clarinet sub list, principal trombone, and trombone sub list.  Other than percussion, auditions will take place on Wednesday, August 26th, Thursday, August 27th, and Friday, August 28th in the Ardrey dressing rooms in the Kitt School of Music at NAU.

Auditions will be scheduled as follows:

Wednesday 8/26

Cello: 5pm – 5:50pm
Bass: 6pm – 6:50pm
Viola: 7pm – 7:30pm
Violin: 7:40pm
Thursday 8/27
Horn: 5pm – 5:50pm
Oboe Sub List: 6pm – 6:40pm
Clarinet Sub List: 6:50pm – 7:30pm
Friday 8/28
Sub Trombone: 5:00pm – 5:40pm
Principal Trombone: 5:50pm – 6:30pm
Tuesday 9/15
Percussion sub list (Kitt School of Music Room 285 – 5pm)
Other than percussion, all auditions will take place in Room 173 at the NAU School of Music, which is the dressing rooms located behind the Ardrey Auditorium backstage area.  Those interested in an audition should contact Cindy Binkley via email cbinkley@flagstaffsympohony.org for an audition time slot.

FSO is a non-union orchestra with principal players paid at $72.70 per service and section players paid at $56.56 per service. Rehearsals and performances are equal pay.
