Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra knows our hometown’s favorite Broadway songs. How? The audience was polled during the April 20, 2018 concert, and the people spoke! With this inside knowledge, Music Director Charles Latshaw has put together a special tribute, “Broadway by Request,” for the symphony’s third program of its 69thseason.
This celebration of truly American music begins at 7:30 pm on Friday, Jan. 25, at Ardrey Memorial Auditorium on the campus of Northern Arizona University. As always, the audience is invited to have a conversation with the conductor beginning at 6:30.
Taking the stage with the orchestra are two soloists from Broadway Pops International to sing hits from West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, The King and I, and more. “I’m pleased to have the opportunity to bring a world-class Broadway performance to Flagstaff,” says Maestro Latshaw.
Headliners Bradley Dean and Sarah Pfisterer bring to life the tunes that everyone loves, backed with full orchestral accompaniment. All ages will enjoy this evening of songs we know by heart. Broadway classics and Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra – an enchanted evening!
