We are pleased to announce that Cynthia Nemeth, Coconino County Parks and Recreation Director, joined the FSO Board of Directors in July. Cynthia brings to the board a wealth of expertise in creative problem solving, strategic planning and collaboration. She says:

“When looking for ways to increase my involvement in the community, the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra was a standout. This organization aligns with my values of creating community and shared experiences through the arts. I was especially impressed with the focus on education and reenergizing symphony concerts in a way that attracts a broader audience.”

Also in July, the Board expressed its gratitude for the generous leadership of outgoing president Timothy Dodt and welcomed its new president, J Michael Cruz, who has been a board member since 2020. Michael is Director of Foundation Relations at the national nonprofit The Literacy Lab, and FSO’s board and staff are pleased that he has taken on this new role.

Welcome, Cynthia and Michael!
