By March 12, 2020 May 21st, 2020 No Comments
The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra’s Beethoven 5k is a 3.1 mile, professionally timed race for the whole family.  The race will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020 at the beautiful Buffalo Park on McMillan Mesa in Flagstaff AZ.
The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra usually performs Beethoven’s 5th Symphony in a concert hall, but on May 16 you will have the opportunity to be  in the performance of Beethoven’s 5k! 2020 marks the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth. Known for his bold, powerful and expressive compositions, the 5th Symphony epitomizes the composer’s talent and force.  In honor of this remarkable piece and composer, you are invited to join members of the FSO, whether your speed is andante, allegro or presto, around the mostly- flat, foot friendly path.  Musicians playing Beethoven will help encourage you along the course. Beethoven himself will be in attendance and running with the kids in the 1k Kids Dash ($10 suggested donation on-site)
